Just did a compression test
I did a compression test and got 230psi across the board. Its a b18c1 motor wuth 70k on it.
I see in helms it says 270psi is nominal.
What are you guys with b18c1 motors getting?

230 is good compared to most i've seen, but if 230 is so good why does the Helm manual say 270 is normal.
just a ?

Not only are you looking for higher numbers, but you're also hoping that the cylinders share close to or similar readings.
230 is damn good. My compression results for my '98 GSR with 118,xxx miles was (from Cylinder #1-#4) 205, 195, 190, 205. They're lower than yours but still within the normal specs.
