Default coildover help

I have just enough money to get a set of skunk2 coilovers, but I heard that putting them on a 96-00 civic with stock shocks would give you a really ruff ride. Anybody have a similar setup that could comment on how it rides?

at first its not that bad, but still bouncy. after a while, a very soon while, your shocks will be no good anymore and it will be worse. theres nothing worse than blown stock shocks on coilover sleeves

skunk2's coil is not a real coilover set up..
get eibach or tein's instead(under 7bill for fully adjustable real coilover)

it's the shock that will give you that bouncy feeling not the spring.
if you going to replace the shocks too why not get a combo one?

When I got my car, she already had maxspeed coilovers on and with the stock struts, and let me just say it rode HORRIBLE, all because 3 out of 4 struts were blown (literally) . I ordered the cheapest struts I could find (KYB GR2s) to get by and to my supprise made my car ride SOOO much better. They do really well when I autocross too. Of course they aren't the best for that, but it works for now until I have enough to upgrade to some teins.

so in conclusion, the maxspeed coilovers and KYB GR2s are a great combo and ride really nice...

maxspeed and skunk 2 use the same spring....skunk 2 paints them red and maxspeed paints them blue

tokico blues have a history of blowing up while equiped on lowered vehicle.
