Local motorcycle accident..........Kinda pisses me off
I was reading the local paper yesterday when I came accross this artical about a motorcycle accident caused by speeding. I then read the artical and after reading it I feel they worded the story to take all the blame off the idiot who pulled into the Riders path. Just read the story and tell me what you think.

Yes he was speeding but it sounds like the car turned left into the lane he was traveling in and the rider struck his passanger door. Now the kid is Dead and this driver (who couldn't wait for traffic to clear gets off with nothing)

R.I.P.
I do not want to get into the whole thing, but I read she was 72 years old
The good always die young

I find it funny how the majority of riders immediately want to blame the cagers for any and all accidents involving a cage and a scoot. We don't know every single detail involved with this accident. Evidently the bike was speeding and acting a fool. The guy driving the car was 72yrs old. I got some pretty strong feelings about old people driving anything (they should be tested once a year after 65 before they can get their license renwed). My guess is that the biker was being stupid, swerving in and out of traffic, and this old guy never saw him.
You can't go riding around like this. You have to ride with the thinking process that "the cagers are trying to hit you".
Everyone notices the attention starved tool doing wheelies and swerving in and out of traffic. No one notices the guy riding down the road following the traffic laws, riding safe and defensive, and minding his own business.

Looks like they really blame the biker. Of course, they do not mention anything about the car turning in front of him. How typical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said... no one notices the guy minding his own business, following the traffic laws. Everyone notices the attention starved squid. Had he been following the traffic laws, there wouldn't be any witnesses saying he had been driving wrecklessly.
Not that he deserved it, and not that the guy driving the car is totally blameless. However, you HAVE to ride out there like they are TRYING to hit you. Riding like you own the road is just going to get you more up close and personal with it... in this case, dead.
How typical for someone to automatically blame the cage.
This is textbook Darwinism.
