Default Code 22

I have A 2000 Civic Si. My wife through A rod in the motor in November of last year. While it was not working I did a few mods interanlly like bigger valves and a port and polish of the head. I also installed a Lightened Flywheel. Now my car is throwing a code 22 for Vtech malfunction. Can anyone help me on figuring out what is wrong?

22 is no oil pressure , or lack there of.....or no oil

i threw a 22 using a jdm engine and usdm ecu beacause the jdm engines dont have a tap for the pressure sensor, and all usdm vtecs do.

check the green plug next to your vtec solenoid, that is the pressure sensor that is sending the code, err yeah, you know what im talking about

you have the original head right?

this may sound a bit odd, but i too have a 2000 si and 'bout 4 months ago my timimg slipped and bent my valves.. i upgraded the valve train but afterwards my vtec was not working and i was throwing a code 22, turns out my head wan't getting enough oil to build the pressure up due to a clogged oil filter. i know it sounds funny but after i changed out the oil filter, vtec engaged.. i will never use fram filters again! hope that helps..

trace those wires to the cannon plugs, then from there to your ecu

if those are solid, you have oil pressure issues

sometimes cannon plugs can make weak connection, not sure for honda though, i know you can just give them a firm grip and shove them together and that can fix connections on some types of vehicles
