F*cking manifold has a crack in it.....
You can barely see it in this pic, but theres a nice crack in between the 4th and 3rd runner (closer to the compressor side)......
Should I invest in an inlinepro manifold? Since full race is out of the question since I love A/C and P/S

Rev Hard.
Rev Hard.
You think a muffler shop could weld that? Or would I have to go elswhere.....
My muffler shop was able to cut the cast iron elbow and reweld the flange on me... just want opinions...
I dont really wanna spend hundreds on a new manifold if I can avoid it for now.

being that you are in NJ, i just came back to town, i may be able to hook u up with someone who can fix that. email me at geoff@full-race.com...
BTW definately DO NOT have just any muffler shop weld that. It is cast and needs a proper prep, weld, and post treatment otherwise it will get worse. Ive seen it happen many, many times.

I'd just look up a local welding shop. They would probably charge less than $20 and take about 3 minutes. They'll also know a lot more about what they're doing than a muffler shop. With the right rod (can't remember which one right now), they can arc weld that crack just fine even though it is a cast manifold. A muffler shop would never get it right.

is the revhard manifold thats lets u keep AC really not all that strong? is this a common problem? what other manifolds lets u keep your AC ?
Drag, maxrev, rev hard and inline pro let you keep A/C I dunno what others..... Rev hards dont usually crack, but **** happens. As far as performance goes Inline pro is probably the best just because of the WG positioning, but rev hards isent bad at all, I think drag's is the worst out of the bunch, but let me know if I'm wrong on that...
i MIG weld, but on my cast manifold (i have a VW, my aftermarket turbo mani) my neighbor who works at a machine shop had to TIG to add an external wastegate hole, he used steel rod that had nickel in it, so i know for a fact he told me that, also on vwvortex.com, they say cast and steel has to be welded with a nickel rod, dunno if full nickel, but i guess steel/nickel

Steel should be welded with a steel rod. For cast iron, you should be using 99% nickel rod as somebody has already said above.

does the revhard come with any bracing? when the popular ones do crack, do they usually crack towards the 3rd/4rth runners, since the turbo is offset towards them? also, do these things crack only under higher boost or egt's than intended?
