Default MAF that reads 5-10V used in conjunction with a fuel controller

Ok I'm asking this for a friend of mine that has a Mazdaspeed Protege (MSP). The MAF sensor for the MSP reads from 5-10 volts instead of from 0-5 volts, so he cannot use an SAFC to control larger injectors to bump up the boost. The only other fuel option we're aware of is an FMU, but he definitely does not want an FMU. Do any other cars have MAFs that read 5-10v? What other fuel injector controllers are an option to him?

I know this isn't a Honda, but the people on the MSP websites are that bright.
