Default Turbo n00b installation mistake #1 :( - a somewhat different oil line question...

Ok, get this - I just got my Greddy Kit on this eveing (Loved it for the 5 minutes I got to drive it ) but none the less somehow we fucked up the oil feed line on the turbo's end. Its leaking like a drippy faucet. Can someone please explain to me the best way to seat the nipple/tube on the inside of the line's fitting? And can this tube/nipple be easily bent? If so I think thats what happened to mine. Thanks in advance.

Btw, b00st OWNS - even though its only 5.5 lbs, its exactly what I was hoping for.

are you talking about the banjo bolt for the feed? or from the block?

I'm talking about the threaded nut on the line that you run onto the banjo fitting. Another question how expensive are the steel braded lines mentioned?

But does anyone know about any complications with that oil feed line, is the tube inside the end-fitting easily fubared?

is the oil leaking from the block? cause if it is, (pray to god it isnt) then that means u tightened the fitting into the block too much and u cracked it. happened to me and left me boostless.

but if its just the stainless steel lines then u can just replace it. what i would do to make sure is to take off the oil feed line fitting off the block completely and double check the block is alright. make sure there are not hairline cracks or chips. ok, good luck. hope everything goes well

EDIT: ok, i reread your first post like 3 times and realized its not the block that u are leaking from, but the turbo itself. sorry

Sorry for the mixup, but I meant the actual fitting at the end of the steel braded line (turbo's end of the line connected to banjo fitting). Thanks for all the input and help guys - with all your help, luck, and dropping the entire manifold and snail (yet again lol) I was able to cure the leak at the end of the line. . And now I've seen the light - where can I invest in a Maruchan franchise? Thanks again guys.

Thats what I said. When i got into the turbo game, I just wanted to be able to climb hills easier. A little over a year later, I ended up with a motor built from top to bottom.

Sup cody, this is Vince from SI Atlanta or whatever they call it now I just got my greddy kit on this past saturday. I didn't seem to have a problem when i installed that oil feed line... However, i used Hondabond for almost every fitting on the damn kit.... lemme know how it works out.

The feed line isn't bad at all, its the return that's crap...but that's how they keep the price down as an entry level turbo.
