Here's the contact info for ACT. I sure they will provide you with the info you need, as they wouldn't want you to buy an imitation.

keep us updated.. cuz i've never heard of imitation clutches before, but if there are now, i'd sure as hell think that alot of us would want to kno.
There will be a yellow sfi sticker on each piece if it is an ACT. It doesnt mean for sure its a ACT but if it has the sticker than you will be getting a good clutch. I am also pretty sure the pressure plate will say act.
He can get you the "Stage 1" for $200 probably. Its the HD PP and the 00 street disc...basically an ACT stock replacement with a bit more presuure and holding power. Not really an upgrade IMO.
The ACT clutch kit most people get would be the "HDSS", Heavy duty PP and street/strip disc.

alirght! update! here's the email ACT customer service sent me...
"We do not put our clutches in stages" oops! that's right huh!?
here's the rest of the email
"we do have our pressure plates
identified by the color yellow and an ACT stamp, and many of our
applications are SFI certified.
Our Performance Street Disc's will have Gold rivets and an ACT stamp on the
lining but if it's a stock disc that we supply with some of our kits, then
they are not identified by an ACT logo and they will have Silver rivets."
