Default Heat Shield Removal

I have this nasty vibrating noise under acceleration (92 si.) i'm thinking it's from the heat shields following the exhaust piping. is it safe to remove the shielding from the cat, b-pipe, and flex pipe? Any tips would be much appreciated..i know its tough to make a call w/o being able to hear it- but i'm just wondering if it'd be safe.

i would not take it out. its there for a reason.
i had that same sound and i put my car up on a lift and made sure all the metal was not hitting anything, and the sound was still there. It eventually just went away. well i hope this helps a little, although it wasn't much

i figured it'd go away after having replaced the exhaust..but no! i have given it about a month since replacing the exhaust but it persists. something has got to be vibrating against the piping..cause only after ive been driving for a long time and everything gets heated up does it go away...damn it's annoying, it sounds like i have a hole in my system.

Ok, no seriously.... jack it up, have a friend rev the motor, and try to see if you can make it rattle. If you can at least TRY and pin point it to which half the car it's coming from, then you can try dynomat, or expanding spray foam. Just plaster the heat shields with it where you think it's rattling.
