Default hooking up the sub/amp

I had my subwoofer professionally installed about 18months ago. Last month, I had a B16A dropped in my '91 hatch, so the subwoofer wire was cut in the process.

Now, I extended the wire and hooked it up to the battery, but the amp/sub doesn't come on. Any ideas as to the problem? I have an all Sony system (got a $75 rebate), so Sony amp/sub/deck.

Thanks,

JF

Check your ground and remote lead. Hook up a DMM or test light between the positive and ground at the amp. If it has voltage I would check out the remote lead coming from the back of the headunit.
