Default Axle help!!

Ok, last night I finished swapping my B16B block on and was finishing the little things this morning (axles, hoses, etc). Well I slide the intermediate shaft into the tranny (left the part of the axle in the hub while I swapped things) and go to put the bottom castle nut and ball joint of the spindle into the LCA and its about 1"off!!!! I can't get it lined up!! I decide to pull the axle and the damn thing won't come out of the hub.. keep in mind, I have swapped these axles multiple times and never had a problem. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get this piece o crap out, I'm pretty sure the axle itself or the inner knuckle? is seperated, and am going to buy a new one today but I gotta get it out first! Any help would be appreciated.

either the axle isnt all the way onto theintermediate shaft, or the inboard joint
needs to be reassembled due to hyperextension

Definitely appreciate the help, I'm pretty sure from what you were saying to turn that it is hyperextended. But due to the age of the axle, I'd like to replace it but still can not get the damn thing out!. I've tried screwdriver/hammer, pushing, pulling, prying, banging with wood in between and its just really stuck... any ideas?

If it's stuck on the hub, send the whole thing (hub and axel) to a local machine shop. Most machine shops and car repair shops have a press tool that will easily take care of this problem. I just dealt with this problem, but unfortunately I had to get a new axel (NAPA - $80...). Good Luck

Haha, yeah I tried one of those axle removers earlier and about half way through it just seized up since the axle wasn't going anywhere. Then proceeded to strip the threads in the middle and turn into a piece of crap. Oh well, already got a new axle but won't get the hub back from the shop until tomorrow morning.
