Default revving in idle

When the car is at full stop
& im on neutral, I rev the car up but i can;t go all the way to 8000rpm
The rev cuts off at around 5000rpm.
There is no problem tho when revving in gears 1st thru 6th as well as revving the car all the 8k when its rolling/moving.
Is this suppose to be how it is??

By the way The car is 02 RSX-S 6-speed manual
TIA

So I shouldn't worry about anything?
At idle & full stop it'll only rev to 5K rpm.
Rev match necessary when downshifting especially to 3rd gear (when pass 50mph)??? Coz on my car, If i dont rev match(just on 3rd gear, say from 6th to 3rd) i hear a little grinding noise.... It only happens in dropping in 3rd gear pass 50-60mph?.........what's wrong with tranny or is that normal too?
TIA

Grinding is your syncros. They are out.

but it doesnt do it all the time, never when upshifting
if its the syncros, that means its the transmission itself and not the clutch itself
does anbody know for sure if its the syncros
& if it is , wouldnt it b covered under warranty (not clutch but tranny itself)
If anybody knows anything about this in more detail, feel free to share.
TIA
