Default !!HELP!!

Hi, New to the board here.
I just bought my first honda. A 89 HB. My car died at a red light and didn't want to restart? I thought it was out of gas. but sadly it wasn't. When I flipped the ignition on and off a few times to prime it it started right up, but showing the check engine light. when driving it if I tried to give it any gas at all it would sputter and back fire a little. I checked to see what code it was throwing and it gave me a
Code 4- Crank angle Sensor
and a
Code 16- Fuel Injector

What could cause both codes to go off at the same time?
or could the code 4 been on the whole time with out the check engine light being on as it is now? and could my timing being off a little cause my crank angle sensor to be on? So if code 16 means fuel injectors is that definitely whats wrong with it or could it be the fuel pump instead? and if so is the pump in the tank and can I bypass it with a external inline one instead? It was running perfect one second and the next like crap. That doesn't sound like fuel injectors to me?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

pull your injectors and get them cleaned. An older car like that, where people probably ran cheap gas in, probably has some nasty injectors...

That and the Crank angle sensor would be pissed because of the miss fires from the injector failing.

So, replace this:
Plugs, wires (if not within the last 30,000 miles), the one injector and the distributor.

I have never seen injectors go from running perfect one second and shut down the next? has anyone else had this happen to them?

i've seen rotor buttons and other accessories of the ignition/distributor system work one second, and fail the next.

That's where i would start the hunt.

I guess what I really want to know is if the injector code goes off does that mean it is definitely the injectors or cold something else like a bad fuel pump set it off do to lack of fuel reaching the injectors? because as I said in the 1st post it will not start unless I turn the ignition on and off 4 or 5 time before I turn it over. I don't have a lot of money to buy the wrong thing for it and I need to have it running by Saturday so I can drive 200 miles to my Day memorial.

Thanks for any help in advance

did you check your distributor cap, under it, the plug wires, and spark plugs?
