Default Hesitiation While Driving

Here's my situation:

I just replaced my head gasket a while back and I've had bad acceleration and a hesitations while driving. My guess is it's the timing.. Another problem is that sometimes when I come to a stop the car like dies out to almost no idal and the car is not responsive to giving it gas. If it does, it creaps so slooooooooooow then finally kicks back in.

I need help this is driving me crazy!

Any suggestions.

I have replaced the following:
Plugs
Wires
ERG Valve
PVC valve
Fuel Filter

Do you think my problem could be due to a bad engine ground wire?

no...its not the ground wire although if its broken on top it cant help, when was the last time you reset your ecu? that could be it, also do a compression test on your car both when cold and when the car is warmed up, if there is an order of difference, then its possible that the head gasket is not seated correctly and you are losing compression as the engine warms up....a bad fuel filter install can keep gas from getting to the engine correctly, check that out, and as always, make sure your plugs and wires are seated corretly. another common problem that produces those results is if your distributor is bad, pull the cap off and check the rotor, heck replace the rotor its only $10, if its still doing that, its possible the whole distributor is bad, its not that uncommon, and has happened to a couple of people I know, including me!
