i was woundering if this would work without having to convert my car to obd 1? could i just get a harness from obd1-obd0 and plug it in like that and have it work? i did a search but did not find what i was looking for.

You'll have to convert your car to obd-1. But those who have done it have troubles with the VSS for some reason. I guess its cause the VSS is mechanical on cable tranny's. The EMS uses the hydro tranny's electrical VSS. So its complicating stuff at higher rpm's. I read that up on the AEM board a while back. Go check it out for yourself and ask questions. There could be a fix for this. Please don't quote me. This is just from memory.
