Default EMS for OBD 0?

My friend is about to go turbo and is trying to find a good ems for his car. I know AEM EMS you can use with obd 0 but what other ems are out there for obd 0? Can you use uberdata or hondata? I was under the impression that for hondata he would have to go to obd1.

He would have to convert to OBD1 for hondata and I would ASSume uberdata would be the same. What about Crome or Zdyne?

I didn't think aem made a ems for non obd cars? I have heard that zdyne is good. And the gold setup allows you to have complete datalogging controll just like the aem ems. I would go zdyne on a non obd car.

I could have sworn my friend was using aem on his crx obd0. He may have converted to obd1 though.

His best options are:

1- Go OBD1 and use a normal AEM EMS for OBD1
2- Go and do Turbo Edit
3- Zdyne SECU (900 bones is a lot)
4- Go OBD1 and use Uberdata

No datalogging on the Zdyne unfortunately.
Check out http://www.turboedit.org/ for TurboEdit, and http://www.homemadeturbo.com/f...ard=6 for a lot of broke *** guys that are running it.

you can use ems with a obd0 car you just need a obd0-obd1 jumper harness so that it will plug in, but the ems will work with the obd0 distro.

uberdata- obd1 conversion with injectors, distro, ecu, conversion harness
hondata- same thing
zdyne- plug n play but no datalogging
turboedit- i dont think it supports b16a yet

If you can locate a PS9 ECU, 1-wire vtec is tested and working w/ TurboEdit.

yea so this post is up for me, i am running an obd0 b16, kinda don't wanna convert cause then it'll just end up costing as much as a zdyne unit would. So whats all involved in turbo edit? i was thinking just running an safc for now then upgrading to a standalone later. whats the best way?

if u have a VTEC controller anyways on ur car u can use turbo edit

the vtec controller anyways will still override the vtec signal from the ecu to the solenoid

turboedit does support the B16, theres already dual maps on it.... IGN hi and low and Fuel High and low

is there a newer turboedit program? or newer maps that go up to 8200?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by USDM 4G VTEC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">if u have a VTEC controller anyways on ur car u can use turbo edit

And how does a vtec controler have to do with running turboedit?

OBD0 vtec ecus such as the PW0 and the PR3 only have fuel and timing maps up to
7400 also. Fueling requirements dont change much after peak torque.

most people i know with OBDO and VTEC motors, have a vtec controller anyways

if u have a B16 for example, and u have a vtec controller already, u are good to go using turboedit with a PM6 and being able to tune the motor and dont worry about vtec since the controller will take care of it

I was merely using the pw0 and pr3 as an example, as to the fuel maps only going to 7400.
To use turboedit for vtec, you WILL need either a PS9, or PM6 with appropriate hardware added.
