Necessary if you use spacers.

Just do it yourself, or you`re gonna get raped.

depending on back spacing of wheels too , i know for drag racign on wheels like bogarts and welds, the back spacing requires spacers and you need extended studs and iopen head lug nuts to make sure the wheel can properly seat

its all safety stuff.

why is it safer to run with extended studs?

It's a little harder than you think!

After looking at it for a while and realising that it was going to be much harder on the ITR than it was on the VTEC Prelude, we decided to pay somebody to do it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

its not that hard if you do it the ghetto way without taking the hub off

It is easier to make sure the lugnuts have sufficient engagement with the wheel studs.

Also it is more apparent if one (or more) of the lugnuts have backed off a bit. *cough* Ross *cough*

You could try grinding down the wheel studs and slipping them in/out.

I would just remove the knuckle and press out the studs though, it does not take long to do (especially if you have done it before, as you have).

LOL

Maybe I should get some extra-long, spy hunter-style studs!
