SS Brake line install
Is it easier to drain out all of the brake fluid from the car, install the lines and then refill the master cyl? The NTPOG write-up just lets the brake fluid drip out of the lines...
let the fluid drop out the line. if you drain everything, then you need to bleed the system. when your changing out the lines, make sure the master cylinder is always full.
Install the lines with the MC full, you're gonna bleed afterward anyway. Draining the system will just add more time to the install, and not benefit you.

Lots of good 4th gen stuff here... X-mas early if you got the bucks......
I'm going to get the Motive positive pressure bleeder and was thinking of blasting all of the brake fluid out after taking off the OEM lines. And then refilling the MC w/fresh fluid. Just was thinking that it would be easy with the positive pressure unit.
I'll leave the old fluid in the MC.... Thanks guys

You don't want to blast out all the old fluid and replace it with air. A lot of the times the ABS unit LOVES to keep air in the system and it takes literally weeks to get all the air out. If you have had the dealer do the brake fluid changes you'll KNOW when the new fluid is though since it'll change from a murky brown to the new clear brake fluid.

Looks like they are for both 4th and 5th gen. I have a few questions for you desmat:
1) is the price of $175CAN ($125US) including shipping?
2) are these street use versions? (I have seen offroad only versions)
3) Does the seller have some way to prove he's a "good seller" ?
4) is there any problem with shipping them to California?
Thanks!
