Drain Brake fluid to install SS Lines?
Is it better to drain all of the brake fluid and then install SS brake lines? I noticed a write up for the install of SS lines, but the author did not say anything about the brake fluid? He just let it leak out when he disconnected the OEM lines.

When i did mine i did it one at a time and when i disconnected the old stock lines I made sure the level of the brake fluid didnt get low. It doesnt pour out of the line. It just drips slowly. You dont want to let the fluid go low in the master cylinder, it will be a big headache trying to rebleed the lines.
if you get air in the master you have to take it out and bench bleed it. dont ever drain all the fluid, dont even let it get past the 'low' mark on the reservoir.
not fun.

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to purchase the Motive positive pressure bleeder and thought that I would flush out the entire system, then re-fill it w/new fluid. Guess I'll let the fluid drip all over my garage floor................. not.
use a catch bucket for the old fluid. you dont need a motive bleeder, they're a waste. well not really but you can accomplish the job without it.
i switch between ate gold and ate superblue to know when the system is flushed. i flush 2-3x per year and bleed at least once a track weekend.

Just one person.
take a piece of vacuum t00b, l00p it and secure the l00p with a h0se clamp. stick it on the bleeder, open it, and wail away.
