well my oil pan is leakin and its pissin me off and to change the gasket it looks like i might have to move a lot of **** maybe even raise my engine, but anyways what do u guys think if i just took some liquid gasket and rubbed it on the outside of the seals so i dont have to take apart everything?! let me know thanks

 

if you can't/don't want to do something correctly pay someone else to do it for you. yeah putting rtv or whatever might work, but for how long and do you really want to trust your engines oil to some rtv rubbed around the oil pan?

 

the pan isnt hard to do. you dont need to raise the motor at all. just remove the cross member, remove the oil pan, replace the gasket, and re-install. if you decide to do it... ill try to walk you through.

 

Don't forget about the downpipe - that needs to be removed as well.
