please help
i just got a tachometer for my rpm thing installed and its off by 200. the guy that did the install is telling me there is no way to make it accurate. is this a lie and if so how do i make it accurate. also after setting it sometimes it changes a little on its own is there a way to fix that or is this something that just happens
that is complete bullshit. any good calibration tech can make a tach correct. i do it all the time at work. but sorry, i can only do liquid fed gauges. find a good gauge cal tech in your area and they should be able to do it. if it is a new gauge. return it.
that is total buillshit.....my autometer indash tach is perfectly calibrated...more so than the stock one. its something you have to go out and do....thats the bitch part...your guy is being lazy!

seriously, whats 200 rpm anyways? thats 1/5 of 1000 rpm man, which is what your tach reads on anyways. you have a shift light right? keep in mind that its 200 rpm off and adjust accordingly.
