Default Anyone running a b-series motor with a t3 turbo?

I will be boosting a gsr motor this summer, and i was thinking of using a t3 turbo because of its quick spool and because i auto-x. I was wondering what manifolds people are using with this setup because i know the most t3 turbos are internally wastegated. Any info is greatly appreciated.

TIA,
marek

I am using a T3 off a Chrysler LeBaron. It spools very quick. I am using a SFP manifold and a external Wastegate.

If you want a moderate bump in power, mainly low down and midrange gains, then any T3 will do you fine.

If it were my GS-R, I'd find the .60 trim T3 off 84-86 Ford 2.3 or 84-87 300ZX for a decent street car turbo. It'll feed a little more power up high so you get the big power VTEC spike instead of falling flat on your face at anything over ~7-8 psi in the upper revs. Try for a .63 AR turbine (manual Ford 2.3T and all 1G 300ZX), because a little peakiness will actually suit the B18C1.

The kids with the T3/4's have something going for them, too. You might consider talking to slowcheapturbo about something that will put out power where you want it, and run lower boost for autocross, and then you can turn up the boost and make some nice power for other purposes.

You can get the Max Rev manifold without the external wastegate flange. I recommend it if you wish to retain A/C. If you don't care, you might want to hit up Tinker219 for a custom-lovefab manifold. He does some nice work.

how quickly does a t3\t04e spool up compared to just a t3? Because i was also considering a garrett t3\t04e 57 trim with a 63 A/R. I just didnt want it to dog on the track. with a t3\t04e what would be the optimum boost for track? what would optimum boost be for the street. I dont drag, so boosting double digits is not that important.

When putting my T3 with an internal wastegate on my b-series engine. I actually oppted for the external manifold. The internal required me to remove A/C. Only reason I switched from internal to external
