? about aftermarket header differences between ls/gsr and years
I have a jdm b18c (obd1) in my hatch. I am looking to get a used Comptech header. I know it will fit all b18s, but is there a difference in design between headers for b-series non-vtec and b-series vtec? - in terms of making power (powerband, etc.)? I don't know what car the header came off of specifically. Also, I will just need to make sure it has a housing for the o2 sensor on it, correct? Thanks and get back ASAP.
My '95 B18C1 doesn't have the O2 sensor in the header. It's right at the inlet of the cat. So I guess it depends on what cat you're using.
The gsr had a shorter A-pipe and a longer cat, but the O2 sensor ends up sitting at the same location w.r.t. the floorpan of the car. Sometime later ('00?) I think they began using the same exhaust for gsr & ls.

Hmmm. My o2 sensor is on the header because I don't have a cat right now. Thanks for the info though.
