Has anyone seen any numbers on the new type-r? I saw the type-s does 0-60 in something like 7.1 seconds.

 

The new R is not coming to the US.

 

True...but that wasn't his question. I imagine the numbers are roughly the same as the current ITR. I really have no idea though.

someone on clubrsx.com said the Type R is coming in the summer of 2002 as an early 2003. He supposedly works in the R&D or something like that and said it IS coming. People seemed to beleive him and he seemed legit...other sources seem to suggest that it is coming also. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

One of the top real time racing drivers said that honda was bringing over the new Type-R. That is the most reliable info that I could think of. They have to base their race cars from production cars so I think that Honda would let the chief driver know what car they are going to base the new race versions on.

 

Keep telling yourself that, and maybe in a couple of years it'll come true.

It's really too bad, because there's such a large market for import performance vehicles.
