hey guys, i just needed some input on the complete skunk2 head package (valves,springs,retainters, and the turbo cams)... i have the car torn down and i was wonder while i install my JE pistons(81mm) and eagle rods should i shoot for the head too. i want to run 11psi to 15psi off the Drag kit... all this is going to be tune with hondata s200

its a good investment. it will let you rev higher and make more power late in the powerband

i wasnt really reffering to the cams, i dont know alot about them. i was just talking about the retainers and springs. i run gsr cams myself and i am happy.

 

Port Flow head work/parts and Ferrea parts would pwn you if you have the money.

That's another question... whats wrong with the turbo cams off of skunk2?... meaning is not worth the money? or the power gains aren't as much as the stock b16a2 cams? i heard people swear by the gs-r cams.. can anyone second that statement???

 

Maybe they are selling them to make a profit? I have seen two people (one locally and one on the forums) make 8whp and 1 lb-ft from GSR camshafts.

 

but can anyone prove that turbo cams do make a little hp of a dyno plot or is this just what you hear?

 

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head with "turbo camshafts". All the people I know have OEM camshafts.

 

I heard that Supertech makes all the Skunk2 valvetrain. Anyone know the truth about this? I can save some money by going with Supertech than with Skunk2.
