After putting in my kyb shocks and my ground controls, I get this squeking noise that comes from the front passenger side whenever I hit a small bump. Is there anyone else with the same setup that has experienced this annoying noise on their integ? What can this noise be coming from and how do I get it to go away? TIA

 

It might be your spring rubbing up against the GC aluminum sleeve. Check it out before you destroy it if it is that.

 

I dont think thats the problem. I remember using the rubber o-rings to seperate the two. Anything else it could be?

 

I had the same problem, but mine was in the rear. Rides fine but theres an annoying clank when you hit bumps and such. The advice that i got was to a. spray white lithium grease on the top and bottom 2 springs or b. get some hose and wrap it around the top and bottom springs. good luck.

its more of a squeking noise then a clanking noise, but i'll try out the lithium grease tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

 

Same prob w/my apexi coilover, but havent found a solution yet. let me no when u find one.

 

yea, I'd say get some grease or something and see if the squeaking goes away.

 

coil overs make noises sometimes. if you don't want noises go with basic springs. what happens is the movement from the spring not being tight in the spring seat and cap makes play and sometimes noises come from that. you can also get a cluck sound if you hit a bump depending on how low because the spring is coming off the seat a little.

its a CLANKING noise. seroiusly...like metal on metal kinda noise. its really annoying and its bothering me. does it affect how my car handles in anyway? does it hurt my shocks/springs in anyway? TIA

 

just to tell you guys..i just found out what the clanking noise was. its my stock dust cover that was banging and clanking whenever i went over small bumps. maybe this will help you guys
