Leakdown question... Is 12% all that bad?
I have under 5% leakdown in 3 cylinders and 12% in one cylinder, this leakdown test was after a valve adjustment. Dealership said it was within spec, but that 12% looks scary. This is a bone stock b18b. Thanks

Thanks for the replies... I did not get compression numbers. It was an incredibly shady experience at the Seattle downtown Honda dealership
I overrevved and needed a valve adjustment badly, so I limped to the dealership and dropped it off to get my valves inspected and adjusted and for a leakdown and compression test. On Monday, I was called and told that I had over 75% leakdown in 3 cylinders and that I had bent valves, and my engine was beyond repair. They asked if I wanted to either swap in a 5k b18b for $4300 or a 35k b18b for $4100, I said I would have to think about it(read: leave my car there while I found an engine elsewhere
) I found an engine at Import Auto Salvage, so I went to the dealer and asked to pick my car up because I was going to get an engine somewhere else. They made me wait an hour and then told me... "we just did a valve adjustment and now your car is completely within spec, aren't you happy?" They did a leakdown test BEFORE the valve adjustment... I couldn't ******* believe it, they were just trying to get me to spend 4k on a swap... I didn't ask about the compression test they said they were going to do, I just wanted to get out of there. I am done with dealerships, they suck... This was my lengthy explanation of why I don't have compression test #s
Car idles and runs smooth and I don't feel a big lack of power, so I think it is doing alright. I am hoping it lasts for about 6 months until I can afford a built block. Thanks for the replies

That is a horrible story. You should write the FACTORY and tell them of your experience with that dealer. Also demand a refund of your $. Also find an independent Honda garage and quit going to dealers.
Yeah, thats a shitty story man. I would definetly contact Honda and dime out that dealership.
On another note. A Helms, a set of feeler gauges, a 10mm wrench, a flathead screwdriver, and a pepboys leakdown and compression tester should be on your next "need to buy" list. Its all not that hard and you shouldnt have to ever take your car to honda.
