Default ----DON'T LET This Happen to you----- Getting Jacked :(

This Happend about 7 Months ago, but i wasn't a member of Honda-Tech and just wanted to post how to stop **** like this from happening

I go to my car after work to get inside, my Pioneer DEH-P4300 Muti-Cd Control High Power Cd Player with FM/AM Tuner. WAS FUCKEN GONE, My Cobra Radar Dector Was GONE, And the FUCKED UP THE CAR, The Riped the Whole Radio Part Out and **** Up the Triming and CUT MY ALARM! Im going to find these mother ******* and make them pay. They didn't take my remote for the CD Player or My CD's or My Broadway Mirror? I Filled a Police Report and eveything
Even Took My Backpack with my book for school, they only took 1 book and left 5 in the back??? but they took my notebook with all my homework in it. And My JanSport Backpack.
My Alarm Hads a Sensor On it, I don't know how but they just poped the hood and cut the alarm, which triggers my kill switch, they couldn't start the car, thats why it was still there when i came out

What I Learned From that.
Never bump around areas, and make sure to take off your face deck.
Always put on your club, that was the one day i didn't put my club on
**** Crimestoper, they don't do ****, and can be bypassed so easy.
You Need a Alarm with a Pager, I was maby 300 feet away from the car, inside of work and could of caught the guys in the act of stealing my ****, if i didn't go with a cheap crimestoper alarm
Be Carefull, Car theifts are eveywhere

My car dosn't even look like that anymore.
I took off the white inside paint, i change the cluster for a Si one, and I don't have any beat in the car, steal what now.

I also learned
**** CAR THEIFTS!

To Stop It, Take off your decks, don't leave hella **** out, like guauges, dectors, turbo timers or what not.
Get a Alarm with a backup battery
Club and Autolocker are your bust firends

if you would have used the factory brackets and screwed them to the aftermarket deck, then reinstalled the 4 8mm bolts under the dash they never would have gotten the deck out. sorry to hear that, hope it never happens again.

wierd, that chip in your left air vent panel looks exactly like mine when I got jacked. luckily thats the only part of my dash that was ruined. I put a little adhesive compass guage to cover it up cuz replacing dash parts are expensive as hell....

any way i just felt like saying that detachable face headunits are a joke... their a hassle taking them out every time you go the store...usually people just leave them under their seat or glove compartment where thieves look right away. I know people who have gotten their decks jacked even when people took their faces with them. It don't matter to some thieves.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Quad-Damge &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">My Alarm Hads a Sensor On it, I don't know how but they just poped the hood and cut the alarm, which triggers my kill switch, they couldn't start the car, thats why it was still there when i came out</TD></TR></TABLE>

they popped your hood cable from the outside at the the front of your car, I would guess. your alarm went off (hood pin?) for maybe 5 seconds before they killed it or the battery. How often do you go over and investigate a car alarm thats sounding ( for only 5 seconds) ? You're right, a two way pager alarm would have warned you for sure.

Does any one know, or heard, of a way to protect the hood release cable on civics?

Also, that if your deck had of been back strapped around the big *** bar thats in the back of the hole there, it would have taken a lot longer for them to steal.

I put a tape deck with a cd slave unit in a car like yours, for this little old lady, and strapped both decks to each other around that bar. Her car was broken into and they tried to get them out with a crow bar but couldn't. they ended mashing the crap out of both of them, but they didnt get them. ( I know this becasue our insurance claim divsion brought us the car to quote for the estimate).

Even though you had taken some steps to protect your stuff, it was still seen as an easy target. Thats a hard lesson to learn.

I took that lesson to heart

I have one of the best security for a civic ever, i keep it on the down low, becuase i just don't tell people i know about it.

It's not about the alarm it's about the install. If you had a backup battery and sirens, it would have taken them longer to shut it off.

Unfortunately, nothing is 100%. **** happens, sometimes things are out of your control.
