Default How do you keep your box from sliding around?

My sub box moves around in hard turns, any ideas on how to secure it? Any pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

Velcro, bolts, straps... Just about anything. I have a friend that uses a baseball bat that he wedges between the box and the trunk wall.

I used L shaped brackets screwed it to the box and to the trunk cover with a huge washer under it, keeps it perfectly in place.

Mines bolted to the back of the seat, it's good because when I'm by myself I can fold the seat down and it points right at me

I jammed my box up agaist my back seat. Plus it's too big and heavy to move around.

I attached mine to my rear strut tower bar. I used the C fittings from a hardware store.

that's exactly what i did. and if someone trys to jack it they will have a great time trying to take the box out not knowing why it's not coming out.

Just go to your local hardware store (i.e.: Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) and purchase a set of 4 rubber flat feet. And bolt the rubber feet under you box in each corner and it will stay. Werked on myne ! And it's only a $2 mod. Heh.

anyone try using huge pads of velcro? the one side of velcro should have no problems sticking to the car's carpet...if not, screw it down from the inside

I used that rubber-like material, that comes in a roll that you use in cabinets to keep stuff from moving around. I dont know exactly what its call but it works like charm.

hmm lets see #1 place systems are stolen from, the back of hatchs because pop the trunk, grab the box and toss it in another car....now lets say u have some nice big bolts going thru AT LEAST you trunk board, it becomes all the much harder to snag...and if you want to make sure it stays there and no one is going to rip it off (also helps sound quality too) and if you dont mind the weight...take a nice big piece of 3/4 mdf and cut it out to the size of your trunk board and screw the trunk board to the mdf....then at some hardware stores thay have allan bolts also know as cap bolts etc...they just have allan head for turning instead of screwdrivers....bolt them thru the bottom and nut them and bend over the bolt a little, to take off yes you have to cut them off....but this has save lets seee to this date 4 amps and 2 subs boxes in all of my freinds rides...we people are stealing boxes they dont like hassle, they like nice easy, rip the wires and run...make them work for your system if they want it ....many just get pissed when they pull and take you whole rack w/ them, and believe me it isnt no easy task to lift upwards of 200lbs all attached....and btw take your spare out and have a trusty friend to always save your but, because you most likely wont be able to lift it easily!

My box weighs too much to slide around. Besides I had to strip half my interior to get it in there.

Yes I did. It took me about 4 days to do it, working on it for 3 hours a day. After I get my new Subs and amps (Coustic) I will be selling this setup, or putting it in my wifes CR-V. I am not really sure yet. And thanks for the compliment. It is good to know that my hard work has paid off !

And to you JTC....how you gonna jack my stuff, your car is not even running, and you do not know where I live. I am sure you are gonna walk from Atl to Chatt-town.
