Default car hesitating and bogging

sup guys
i have a problem with my car....today when i started her up in the morning and drove off i noticed my car was hesitating to go and bogging..when i was accelerating all of a sudden it bogged for 1-2secs and then pressed the gas a lil more and it was normal again....this kept happening, especially when i took off from first gear....what could be the problem?
i washed the engine a few days ago...and was sure i covered the distrubtor

Thanks

I have this problem too. i don't think it would of been due to washing of my engine. But at 1st and 2nd gear, at around 2-3000rpm my car hesitates like it's choking for a bit then stops doing that after 3K I'm not flooring the gas and i'm just accelerating normally.

Some say it might be my O2 sensors, or maybe i'm running too rich due to my FPR set at 41psi instead of the stock 38psi. I have cai, dc headers and cat back...that's it. I don't know why the previous owner of my car set it at 41 psi and i've benn too lazy to turn it back down to stock. So yeah, what do you guys think is our problem? Oh and this doens't happen all the time...only sometimes...

here is a quick way to tell if it is your TPS. Unplug it and drive it for a while. Drive it gently. It will throw a check engine light right away but you will be fine. I have had a problem with my car and everyone said it could not be the TPS because of this and that. Unpluged it two days ago and it is running fine. Plug it back in the car stumbles within the first 20 feet.

Good luck

with hesitation, I'd say the most common problem is either dirty and clogged injectors, or need to replace spark plugs and/or spark plug wires....or in your case, water in the port.
