HELP! Leaking Clutch Hydro System
Hey guys and girls, thanks in advance for the advice...
There's a boot that carries hydro fluid into the tranny, and is leaking at the interface of that boot to the metal part where the bleeder is (located between front of tranny and rad).
It appears that there used to be some sort of clamp there to seal the boot which has fallen off. I think that I can fix that simply with a hose clamp.
I guess my question is, how to fill up the fluid again when I'm done?
Eric

That is just a dust boot. If there is fluid leaking from there clamping it down isn't going to help anything. Check the slave cylinder for leaks. Check your fluid level in the clutch MC resrvoir at the back right of the engine bay.
Thanks for the advice. I know there's a large rubber boot and another rubber boot beneath it formed to the part with the bleeder valve. Are they both just dust boots?
After I clamped it, the clutch pedal regained pressure and I could drive the car normally.

Yes, they're both just dust boots, not meant to hold fluid.
If there is fluid leaking from the slave cylinder, it should be replaced. The boot will hold the fluid for now but it will leak again.
