I'm wondering what can be done to keep the inisde of the car dryer. I know this is a common problem but what can be done? please help i'm tried of the leaky roof in the rain.
I have the same problem too, makes me want to get rid of my delsol, I'm thinking of getting nicer seats in my sol, but thats the only thing thats holding me back from doing it.
Id use some lube, or somethign of the sort, I like my sol way to much to sell it cause of a few drips i get in the upper corners. But hell, im not sure id have better seats for fear of water damage. They do sell the re-seal kit if ur up for a nice install.

What year Del Sol Do you have ? The 93-95 Sol's Seals were replaced with a newer version, it used to be covered under a recall but its to long to get them replaced under said reacll, I replaced my Seals mysleft it was not that big of a deal, and my top does not leak at all any more. Also Do not use Vasoline on the seals, it eats them a wal slowy use silcon gresse or buy some seal lub from honda.

thanks for the info. any idea on how much the reseal kit cost and installed? i have a 93 si and need to get a d16z and i have some jamex seats installing and dont want the rain to mess them up. I love the car and want to keep it. thanks
Go to the parts department, buy some sillicone spray...not LUBE, spray.
Set your targa down on something soft to prevent scratches, and spray all the seals on the car and targa with the spray, repeat this several times, several days in a row.
If it continues to leak, one, search for the leak and see if part of the seals are cracked or plugged.
If option one is your answer, find part, fix and replace.
If problems still persist, contact honda for the seal kit. Expensive and its a pain.
You gotta remember, all targa cars have these issues, del sols have them more than others...

I say trash them and buy the extra one I got laying around
But yeah most of the Del Sol folks I know have the same problem, good to know they have a re-seal kit.

silicon grease works good, i have a 94 sol that only had one previous owner, he used the silicon every 3months, it does not leak at ALL. Maybe I'm just lucky, but give that stuff a try. check out http://www.teamdelsol.com for a good how too if you need it
