anyone have get a map sensor code after installing a vafc? (89 crx si, b16.)
had no check engine codes for a few months now, all of a sudden i am getting codes 1 and 3, even with a new O2 sensor. the check engine light in the cluster rarely comes on, occasionally on the highway at higher speeds in vtec.
any ideas?

bump for the only problem with the car.
the cel only comes on under high speed acceleration, in 3rd, 4th, and 5th, on the highway.

I used to have a j n s in my car,and every time i adjusted the map sensor voltage to much it would give me the same codes.
i have the fuel pressure down to about 32 pounds, (was trying to pass emissions) and all the vafc settings are at 0.
u ned to watch your map voltages. it is because your ecu thinks its hitting boost becasue u have everything turned up too much. make sure u are adjusting your high maps and not your low ones. there are 4 maps total to adjust....
i am having this problem also, when ever i drive the car around for a little while, i get a cel 3, and the car shuts off. my set up is a 94 gsr running off a pr3, t3t4 home made kit, map defensor, fmu, 255 walbro pump, 450 dsm injectors, and a vafc.

Bring it back from the dead...Just installed a Apexi Neo (Used) and now my car is throwing a Map Sensor code...car will still run but rich as flock...reset the Neo to stock setting and even adjusted everything that would deal with the Map...nothing worked. so i just jumped the Neo harness so its running off stock now. Some on the wires leading into the NEO are fray'd...im going to test those out and see if its getting a reading....its a 96 Civic EX with a ECU Jumper for the OBD1 P71. Car runs great with out the NEO....anyone have any ideas?
