Default Availability of 97spec JDM ITR 4lug rotors...and other significant parts.

Ok guys, need a hand here.

Lets say, if one was to buy a 4lug ITR. How dificult is it to find rotors for them...Are they available at any parts store?? or would I have to order them specially.

Lastly is there any possibility that I could use a rotor from another car.. for example a 4th gen vtec lude, w/some type of Legend/NSX caliper setup??

I know all USDM ITRs are 5lug, this is the only reason I'm asking. (which Im sure the vast majority...if not all of you already know...)

TIA guys.

any info/insight is greatly appreciated.

I have 96Spec ITR suspension (i do not believe the 97 was 4 lug), It is 4x114.3 and I would not buy one again because of a total lack of knowleged about what fits and what one can do with it. Search 96 ITR in the EG forums and you'll see what I mean. I am having big problems geting any good information about what fits. I don't believe anything I have been told so far. If anyone can proove me wrong please do, it would be a big help. I need wheel bearings and hubs. Prelude and accord are the same bolt pattern, but totaly different parts.

I found this at least.

here is the link..

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=482804

EX and GSR both have 10.2" rotors, however the GSR has larger calipers
ITR has 11.1" front rotors with large Accord calipers

anyone know how much truth there is to this???

Ok...so GSR is 4x100. and ITR is 4x114.3??

Does anyone know what he means in the post above by "large accord calipers"

TIA

If that is true...than the NSX/Legend calipers can work as well..

This may end up being a trial and error thing.. You might wanna purchase some calipers (measuring device.) get the dims of the hubs, and then go to autozone and measure all the lude/accord hubs as well.

I plan on doing that.

There is something about S13 brakes fitting, and i have a JDM PS13 clip laying around. I'm going to see what I can fiugure out about that in the next couple weeks.

The Accord WAGON uses the same caliper as the ITR. You may want to check the Prelude VTEC rotor. I have to redrill the rotors (prelude VTEC) to 4x100 to fit my GSR lugs.

Ok, so when you say Accord WAGON, do you mean USDM, as in I could get it here no problem??

If all else fails we could end up using "shims" to get the lude vtec rotor to fit on Legend/NSX calipers..Im also pretty confident the Legend GS rotors fit w/out shims...but would need to be redrilled..

So the prelude rotors WILL work for 96 ITR hubs and calipers? I need to replace the REAR rotors because one of the rears is like 8mm bigger than the other one for some reason and I need to know for sure what will work. HELP!!!!!!!

the prelude rotors will work if you use the prelude calipers and brackets.

So you are saying on of your rear rotors is bigger than the other???

If all else fails you might be able to get a machine shop to make some for you..It may be pretty pricy though.

YOu so cal guys, please help out the rest of us and go talk to this guy about brakes, wheel bearings, upgrades and anything else you can think of related to this suspension. I think we all need help with finding maintenance parts for this suspension. Does this guy post on H-T, if so I think we should post something in the RR/AutoX forum. That is like the Honda Challenge home.
