Default Best way to fix oil leak on oil filter relocation fitting?

Anyone have any experience on this? I'm imagining stuffing the gap between the fitting and block with some sort of sealant/putty would be the easiest way since removing the hoses and fitting with limit access is a bit of a nightmare.

any recommendations?
