i just got my drivers license in the mail, i am going to have 5 grand in 2 months from now, which car to buy?
my dad said i can get a BRAND NEW CAR, as my first car, yes i said first car, he said i can get a civic... anyways, i drive my dads ford taurus, OMG this thing has SO MUCH tranny slop its not even funny, it takes the motor to like rev 100 times before the slop finally slacks out and then the car JUMPS suddenly in to gear, haha its so funny... anyways, this is what i want... help here plz?

if it was your first car what would u choose, dont forget that these are going to be USED cars and not new ones, but my dad said i can get a civic if i want to because of the price... if i pick anything else its going to be used...
anyways pretend i CANT get that new civic and i had to stick with a USED car, which of the 3 i mentioned above would u pick, i dont know much about the eclipse, but let me tell u, I KNOW MY CARS, AND I know about cars ALOT, im still trying to focus on the abbreviations u guys use like i see stuff on these board with abbreviations like sdjah, and im like WTF? lol, plz dont flame me, i just need your help.

oh and also by the way, i will be street racing the car... exhaust etc...
so what will suit my " upgrade!!!!!!!!!" ing needs?

go with what you like most, coupe or hatch... Ide say the acura rsx but that might be to much new... So maybe a 92-95 civic hatch, or a crx...Ide also say stay away from mitsubishi, personal experience leads me to believe they dont have the most reliable cars...Also dont be stupid when it comes to street racing, you can die, get hurt, kill someone, get your car junked, or get your license revoked...

 

get the newest car you can afford. If you are just starting out that will be the best thing you can do. You may think that you know alot about cars but if you are asking basic questions like" what should I get" it seems that you really have no Idea what to do, I'm not trying to "hate" on you just putting out some facts. Since you posted here I'll assume that you want a CRX or a hatch. One thing to consider is the rear quarters on the EF's and crx's they tend to rust out and can be spendy to fix.
