Default Turbo vs. Supercharger

What are the pros and cons of getting a Turbo or a Supercharger for a Type-S?

And...

Do they even make a Supercharger for the Type-S?

I saw on Speedchannel a Focus that had what seemed to be a factory supercharger with an aftermarket mannifold making hp in the low 200s.

I've heard that Superchargers have a smooth power curve in comparison to the Turbos, is this right?

turbos can have smooth power bands, but it is all in the tuning, but another thing to remember is that a turbo has a lot more potential, but the supercharger is pulley driven. Anything extra that is moving on the outside of the engine is adding stress, but the supercharger will virtually boost from any rpm, just not as well as a turbo.

i saw a JRSC for the ep3 but not yet for the dc5's. SC=instant full boost, turbo charger=more power but turbo lag..it all depends on your goal. like for autoxing, i would go wtih a SC ecuase the jump in power wtih the turbo isnt good when racing in tuns.

So right now there are not SC for the RSX?

BTW, thanks for the responses.

P.S. If I go with a Stage 1 Cybernation Turbo kit, how easy would it be for me to install it. And would I be able to drive my car w/out a dyno session?

Have any of you tried these Cybernation Turbos?

If u are asking these Qs dont do it yourself, turbos need tunning, and u get tunning by dynoing.
Read more about it and educate yourself be4 u go turbo, u dont want a blown new motor.
