just by chance does anyone know the rough dimensions of a 94-97 accord muffler? Are they all the same? are there different mufflers during this period of accords? Thanks.

 

Are you talking about the muffler only? or the rest of the exhaust too?

 

Just the muffler... the basic reason for the question is im trying to see if a 94-97 muffler will fit on my EG sedan.

 

i believe the ex and lx/dx mufflers are different

Yes this is true. I don't know the estimate dimensions though. I haven't heard of anybody using this muffler on another car though.

ex is twin tips for sure, i dont think the lx or dx are different in any way. why would they, its the same motor?

 

for all 90-97, ex has twin tip, lx/dx had single tip. im pretty sure they'd fit under the *** of a civic. ive changed teh exhaust on my civic (eg) and accord (96) several times.

 

EX muffler has duel tips, LX/DX only has one, but the canaster should be the same size. I have an EX muffler in my garage, I could measure it for you if it would help.

nope, both are not twin tips.

 

The EX exhaust does not fix on LX. My friend had one and told me that and Honda also said it.

 

just get the stock ex muffler and weld it on to your stock piping
i have an RSX-S muffler and a stromung muffler (made for WRX)... all that had to be done was reweld the hanger to fit.
