How deep of a speaker can I get in my doors?

How deep of a speaker can I get in my doors?
Will 3.25 inch fit under the panels somehow? 
Currently I have a .75 inch spacer. I think I can get as much as a 1 inch spacer under the door. At 1.5 inches the panel will not go back on. Will 2.25 inches hit the window?

I prefer not moving the window track. Things always seem to snowball with me. Somehow I know this would lead to other issues. Next weekend I will probably pull off the door panel and measure.

Washers under the speaker? That would kill the midbass since the front and back wave would meet up.
