PLEASE HELP!! installing coilovers
All is well in the Tein install although the half shaft pulled out and I can't seem to reallign it. Can anyone give me help with fixing this dillemna? Thanks.
It's a pain, ain't it?
Just relax, have a beer and work the shaft back in there. You can try to fight it, but just work the rotor back and forth (pushing in the entire time) with your hand holding and aligning the shaft where it goes into the tranny, and sooner or later it will slip in.
It seems to go in better when the car is in gear too. Just be careful and don't twist the axle boots up.

That's exactly what we've been trying to do, for the past 5 hours. I'm starting to get super pissed off and frusterated. We've tried it with the gear engaged, with the spindle hanging, suported, twisted, straight..... NOTHING seems to be working. I would pay someone local to come and get this damn thing in for me because it sucks so bad.
What Todd00 said!
Actually that's what happened when my friend (s/n: CH-02DC5) installing his JIC coilovers. I guess you just need to be patient and keep trying.
PS: I guess my friend is lucky enough to push it back in in half an hour

An easy way I found to put the half shaft back in is to use a cross bar. Lightly tighten a lug back on and rotate that lug to the 12 o'clock position. The use the cross bar on that lug to rock the rotor back and forth while pushing in at the same time.
This also happened to me when I installed my JIC's 2 weeks ago, I rotated the rotor back and forth while slightly pushing the rotor inwards (trying to align them), so essentially what todd00 suggested
, you may not feel that its doin anything but eventually you should be able to pop it back in, so dont worry
GOOD LUCK!!!
Clement - who regrets not listening to his auto mech. instructor earlier who told him that the drive shaft might pop out if he doesn't hang on to it...
ps: Thanks Ideal R for being patient with me while I struggled to get the shaft back in before sun goes down (since I worked outside)
... I guess I was really lucky

3 bearings.
Twist the rotor while pushing the rotor in at the same time (hold the rotor to get a better feel). Soon as you feel like a click, twist the rotor back and forward (dont go too far) untill it goes in a little bit (thats just 1 bearing in).
Continue pushing and turning the rotor (after you got the first click) untill u feel another click, twist rotor clock and counter clockwise (again do not go too far), the 2nd bearing should be in.
Repeat for the 3rd bearing.
Shouldnt take more than 10mins.
