2 1/4 vs 2 1/2 inch ????
right now my exhaust is fully 2 1/4. My engine is fully built with 125 shot DP. Im thinking of going 2 1/2 but then id have to change my cat, res and muffler. You think its worth dumping all the money for just 1/4" bigger?

Don't think about diameter increase but area. The flow area of a 2-1/2" 16g tubing is 25% greater than 2-1/4" 16g tubing.
BTW, my cat back system for the H22 will be 2-1/2" for the stock engines.

Ok, I got a question here, if say my prelude has I/H/E and i were to get 2 1/2" pipping would it hurt performance or would it just hurt the low end but help the top end? Need input people.

From my experience a 2 1/2 " exhaust defitinitely hurt my low end torque, and top end I felt it gave me a little more power. But this is just from my experience and I am curious myself to know the dyno #'s of different size exhausts.

The Greddy Power Extreme exhaust is 2.5" and as far as I know makes the most power out of all exhausts (from engine builders and people that see a lot of stuff in the area).
So I don't think 2.5" is crazy...I have a random cat which is 2.25" I think and a greddy header too so I'll mtch it all up later

yeah but the question is how much diffrence. If i change to 2 1/2" i gotta change my exhaust system headers back.
