dumb question about making enclosure
im gettin 2 12 inch rf punch z subs w/ a 800w rf amp. i want to glass in my spare tire well and go from there. the thing i want to know is...do i need to split the enclosure into 2 chambers. ive never done that before, ive always made sep chambers. o well..any info on this?
whats the dif in mono and stereo, i think the amp is 4 ch so id have them bridged to each sub since they are svc. so would i need sep chambers if i had it setup like that
In stereo it is possible for left and right channels to have to different signals. In mono left and right will have the same signal. Normally this is switchable in the hu.
o, well i guess whenever i make the enclosure ill just let them share a chamber and see how it sounds w/out sealing everything up then go from there.
also do you know the specs for the enclosure for those subs, just the crappy rf punch 12s
or acually do you know what the specs are for the alpine type r 12 cuz im gonna get some of those soon so ill just go ahead and make the box for them. o and it will be sealed

About 1 cubic foot sealed per 12 for the type R. Most 12's can deal with this, the rf's should be fine.
Just make sure you get mono or you may get cancellation at the minimum.
