To anyone who ever posted something like, "I'll only be boosting about 6 psi....."
lot of people have done it year after year consistnet boosting 6psi runs like factory.
I started off just wanting to run 9-10psi sometimes and ended up running 19psi daily. I'm not getting a sleeved block to run more.
i have asid that at one time , but thats becuase i never thougt i could affrod to build my motor . so i sttarted at 6.5 thne wnet to 8psi now gonan build for mid teens street and mid 20's or so for the track .
very addicting

unless you have very low expectations, or all the cars you can race in your area are slow 5-7 psi is neeeeever enough ($.02)
Almost 2 years and 30k+. Ive seen all sorts of boost levels due to different variations of things, but Ive never swapped the 6PSI pulley.

I have been running 5.5psi for about 8 months. I have no problem with it. I will be uping it to 8psi soon.
6.5psi to start for about a month, tried 8psi briefly for a day and now tuning for 10psi to keep me
. Currently saving for built internals for 1-2bar, and I thought I'll be happy with 6.5 before I'd FI'd it..
Theres nothing more addictive

I ran 7psi for a year until the car was stolen...if I still had it...I would still be running 7psi.
its like the song that never ends, it goes on and on my friends. Some people started saying they would only run 6 psi.....

when i first got my kit, i said i was gonna keep it at 8psi. That was until it blew up after only a week
. Then i built the block and started to run 17psi with fmu and then 16psi with aem. Then i just gave up and sold everything

i can vouch how hard it is to control the desire to up it.. my lord... after you taste it once its so hard to go back to 7psi from like 10.
Picking up a new WG spring within a few weeks
So a few months for me at ~7 PSI. I want a lot more though(~12ish), I have my safety fund for a used b18b longblock now so I feel a little more ballsy

BTW I lasted at 6 psi for almost ayear before going to 8. My car has almost 75K miles so the next boost upgrade will probably be on a newer car.
lastest about 2 months, before i upped it to 8. After this summer, I'll be boosting 15psi with a built motor. Boost is more addictive than crack.
my b16a boosted @ 7 psi w/ stock internals lasted about 1 week. i was stupid, minutes after the turbo install, my and a buddy test drove my hatch, i was running a p28 ericks racing all motor ecu(which advances timing), stock gsr fuel pump, 12.1 fmu, check valves, stock injectors and sorta advanced timing. coming out from the shop i remember gunning it, and the tires just spun like crazy. it was the fastest car ive ever driven, minutes later i heard a pop and exhaust backfires. after a week of driving, i started to see smoke and it got worse now my rings are
gone.
i will be putting a new block but this time, i will have 450 injectors, vafc hack, 255lph walbro and B&m Fpr. i will be running p72 ecu and retard my timing. hopefully this set new set up will last me long enough to get my other b16a block build.
