ok so this is gonna sound stupid however I have been at sea for the past 3 months and have seem to have forgoten the engin codes on the blocks the b18b1 is a what?? is it type r or did it come in the lx? I'm looking at a teg and dont wanna buy it if its not a type R your help is much appriceated! thanx.

 

b18b1-ls non vtec.....
b18c5 type r

 

B18b = LS, RS, SE, GS
B18C1 = GSR
B18C5 = Type R

The vin# also tells you some info:
DC4 - non-vtec 2 coupe
DC2 - vtec 2 coupe

 

so the b18b1 is the ls and the b18c5 is the type R ??
