wiring pros help me out!!???
here is what going down this weekend....
- b18c1 from 89 DX (obd1 using conversion harness) is being swapped into another 89 DX that had a b16a1 (obd0)
- b16a1 from 89 DX (obd0) being swapped into 88 DX with d15b2(obd0 DPFI)
- d15b2 from 88 DX being swapped back into my car (had the b18c1).
I have a little wiring experience however i'm not going to be around when all this takes place and guys working on it absolutely hate wiring yet are great with everything else..I want to be able to come home and hop into my 89 and drive off without doing any work
but i want to give these guys the simplest directions to do all the wiring so they can get it all done....
Would it all be just easy as cutting off each engine wiring harness and leaving it with the engine when it gets pulled then simply match color to color when it goes into the new cars???? or is there any easier way???
i know thats about 50 wires that need to be resodered but it seems like its the most straight forward way to do it?

u do that and teh cars will never run right.. an will take u 3 weeks to have everything back to normal....
best way its to do reverse MPFI and just swap engines on car that has already MPFI.... do one car at a time....
do searches...... its kinda long explanation.....
first swap..... the C1 should drop right into the A1 car with just the OBD1 conv harness
the A1 should be swaped into the B2 and do MPFI conversion.... using a OBDO VTEC ecu i supposed.....
and the B2 should be swaped into the C1 car, but then u better put MPFI on that one since the car its already MPFI. theres no point of going back to DPFI unless u wanna screw things up...
and dont swap harnesses.... use the harnesses on each car.... for the engine u swaping in

the problem is, is that my additional two injectors are also built into my conversion harness for the b18c1 which i'll be giving away....so when i remove that harness, i will be removing the wires for the injectors
leaving me with the wires only for dpfi....and i really don't want to spend any extra money at this point (i know iknow its really cheap) to do the MPFI conversion

actually thinking about it...once those two extra wires for the two extra injectors are removed then everything should pretty much be back to stock right? my only other concern is what to do with these extra YELLOW/BLACK wires that led to a large gray plug on the passenger side firewall...that had a bunch of YELLOW/BLACK wires on it...i can't remember if thats part of my obd0 harness or obd1 harness...
honestly i don't care about the wiring for the other 2 cars all i care about is getting that d15b2 into my 89 LX as easy as possible.

first off, keep your harness....... the 88 and 89 engine harness ARE DIFFERENT.....
make whoever convert THEIR OWN harness to whatever they need it to be....
