Default easy question: changing batteries on the remote

hey i have a stupid question for you guys. the remote for my alarm is starting to run out of batteries. if i take it out, will it reset everything and no longer recognize my alarm? I know that the remotes can be programed for other alarms, so is it safe to change the battery without losing anything? Hope you know what I mean. Like changing a battery on a graphing calculator....take a battery out....lose all info. Thanks

I don't think it will change the remote's settings. In the manual for my DEI, it covers programming remotes. As long as you have your owners manual you should be fine.

You'll be fine. The programming is in the brain.
