Default Fuel Pressure Regulator

I'm runing pretty rich and am in need of a FPR. I don't know too much about them, so i was hoping that you guys could help me out.

I was wondering what the difference between an AEM FPR and a B&M FPR is, and also if they are ALL adjustable or if only ones specified as adjustable are adjustable.

Also, would i need an AEM Fuel Rail or any other fuel rail in order to use an AEM or B&M FPR?

Would i need a guage in order to tune it to the correct psi? Or is there a way to do it without a guage?

I drive a civic hatch with a 94 b18c1. I think the correct psi is 39 - 41 with bolt ons for the GSR engine.. or somewhere in that range.

Thanx a lot guys.

Ok ....Get the b&m you can bump up or down the psi and they DO NOT leak. I've seen many AEM FPR's leak and heard they just all around suck. Im pretty sure you can only turn up the fuel on AEM's also. You can use your stock fuel rail with either of the fprs you decide to go with. And Yes any where from 36 to 40 is stock psi I belive. Im currently running 40 with the hose attached.

Just make sure you are looking at the actually electrode on the plug ..some people like to look "around" the plug which is always black : p The electrode should be a light grey color and no prob !

my aem fpr has been nothing but spectacular, easy to adjust and looks better than the b&m one too, may be that's what the extra 100 dollars was for

Ok im speaking from experience and the AEM is far superior to the shitty *** B and M. The main thing about the b@m is that if you have a 255 lph fuel pump you cant turn your **** down past 50psi. They are also a pain in the *** when you do adjust the pressure and who wants to cut their factory regulator and stick this on top. My AEM had never leaked, is easy as hell to adjust as low as i want with my 255 lph fuel pump and generally looks alot nicer. Just my 2 cents.

I have been running a B&M AFPR and it really had not given me any trouble...

Going to another fuel rail is really not needed, unless your going ALL MOTOR or boosting some high psi. Otherwise it's really just eye candy, and thats about it. Yes, you will need a fuel pressure gauge of some kind. That way you will be able to re-set the fuel pressure, after installing the adjustable FPR.
