Default Spoon cams, worth the extra moolah?

I found a set of spoons for $850. Does anyone think/not think it's worth the extra money over a set of Skunk2 cams for $670? In comparing, the Spoon's have more lift but a little less duration than the Skunks, which equals more midrange torque.

Please don't tell me to get Toda's, I don't want to go that extreme/expensive.

toda a's and spoon cams are VERY similar, I am in the same boat as you - but I'm looking for spoon cams, if I were you I would go with the spoon cams, but you may not get as much as you hope to get out of them (HP wise) without other mods

I'm still deciding, but I'll probably throw them in with a VAFC, cam gears, 64mm TB, and Skunk2 Intake manifold and see how they run for a bit. (Stage 1) I already have I/H/E and 98 Spec R tranny, and am ready for more power.

Later this year, I'll be sending my head off to get it ported and polished and boring my block out to 2.0, putting in some hi-comp pistons (11.1-11.5), get an SMSP header, and new ECU. (Stage 2)

I've still got to do some research to see how much cheaper to do it all at once, and that will convince me whether I should wait or do it in stages as I have planned. By the way, does anyone know what a reasonanble rate is to get cams, valve springs, retainers, timing belt, and water pump installed? (Not including parts).

Where did you find the Spoons for that price? Are these new?
