nitrous on a COMPLETELY stock engine?
a few weeks a go i sold my teg and bought a 99 lude. i was running a 50 shot from NOS in the teg. now i'm getting that bug back to do some mods on the lude but i dont really want to spend a lot of cash yet. i took out the NOS system and want to put it in the lude which is completely stock. what is the bare min needed to run a 50 shot wet kit. any suggestions would be appreciated
thanks
thanks
I would guess one step colder plugs or an ignition system (I'd just break down and get an ignition since you'll probably be shooting higher on down the line). Personally I'd play it safe and get a bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure reg., the ignition, do some proper tuning, and shoot a 70-80 shot safely

All that you need is colder plugs.

what is the part # of the ngk sparkplugs that are two steps colder?

Two steps colder? Most people just run 1 step colder by using the NGK BKR7E plugs. 2 steps colder will be the 8 heat range, which I am not familiar with. I actually went to 3 parts stores today and couldn't even get the BKR7Es. I'll have to find them online I guess.

hrm..for some reason i thought i read i would need 2 steps colder.
oh well, thanks laughin!
edit: also i read that these plugs will not hinder my performance while not on the bottle, correct? I wont be getting my kit until next month, so i may not even get it installed until june. Will these plugs be ok to run until then? (even though the car really wont be driven much)
thx

what about air flow? i dont want to drop 5 bills on a exhaust and what not. i think it would be fine on stock piping but i've never seen it cuz just about everone i've meet running n20 (including my old teg) had pretty much all the basic bolt on set up( i/h/e, pulleys, ect.)

Its always a good idea to get a compression test done first, if you have crappy numbers then your gonna have serious problems. Get it checked($60)
