Comptech Intake Question
Yes I did a search and yes I read up on the threads. Just a few questions.
1) I just bought the intake and saving for the IceBox. Is it really that bad to have the metal piping vs the stock rubber? (Other than $$)
General Rookie questions
1) I am going to install it myself and just wanted to know how to reset the ECU?
2) What does CAI stand for?
Can't wait- it's coming in a week...

The metal piping may heat up more than the rubber, but the velocity of the air traveling through it is such that it won't have a chance to heat up before it enters the TB. The only other difference I can think of is that the metal piping will probably be a bit louder than the rubber. To reset the ecu you can either pull the 7.5 amp back-up fuse under the hood or disconnect the battery. I warm up the car first and I always disconnect the battery just so that I know nothing's getting power. Wait about 5 min. (not sure the official required time
) then re-connect. Start the car without touching the gas and let it warm up again. Turn it off and that's it. As for CAI it's Cold Air Intake.
